Every week Scream Blu Fan! showcases the Blu-ray releases of the week that interest us and that we think will interest you. Check out this weeks releases of interest below:
For the release week of 8/25 there was 4 releases of interest. One from Scream Factory, two from Olive Films, and one from Sony. Here they are:
The first Blu-ray release of interest for this week is the Blu-ray Double Feature release of Metamorphosis and Beyond Darkness from Scream Factory. After having a lot of fun watching Scream Factory's prior cheesy Italian Double Feature of Ghosthouse & Witchery. If you enjoyed that previous release you are likely to enjoy this one too. Metamorphosis is about a scientist who is mocked by his colleagues for his experiments in genetics and eventually decides to inject himself for his experiments, leading to a terrible change within himself. Beyond Darkness is about a man of god and his family moving into a new house and as things begin to go crazy they learn that their house is on the location where a coven of witches were burned at the stake. Overall these sound like cheesy good fun that are worth checking out.

The next release of interest for this week is one of two Olive Films release to make the list and it is The Sender. This film is about a man who is sent to a mental hospital in order to cure his amnesia. The doctor there tries to help him as much as she can as they discover that he can project his dreams into reality. Reality and dream reality begin to collide while the doctor tries to find a cure for the man. Overall sound like a pretty interesting movie that is worth checking out if you are interested in the changing reality type of films.

The second release of interest this week from Olive Films is Student Bodies. This film is strictly a horror comedy that focuses more on spoofing the genre at the time. Going in with the right attitude and expectations should help an individual enjoy the film. If you are looking for a fun horror comedy in the vein of the Scary Movie films then you will likely get some enjoyment out of this film. Overall not so much of a horror movie as it is a comedy based on horror elements. Either way this film can be a lot of fun and might be worth checking out.

The last release of interest for this week is the fun action/martial arts film The Last Dragon. The story of the film follows a martial arts student Leroy Green on his quest to obtain the powerful force known as "The Glow." To reach it he must go through a kung fu warrior known as Sho'nuff as well as rescue a singer from her obsessive record promoter. Overall this film is just a fun mix of martial arts action and cool music. Worth checking out if you are a fan of fun martial arts films.
