Blu-ray News + Tidbits 6/24/15 - 7/1/15


This last week was a pretty busy week for Blu-ray news. A title announcement from Warner Archive, updates from Scream Factory & Arrow Video, and a Blu-ray review. Check out all of the details below:


News:

Warner Archive has announced the Blu-ray release of The Hunger. Details can be found Here.

Arrow Video announced the final specs and a short delay for the Blu-ray release of Eaten Alive. All the details can be found Here.

Scream Factory unveils the newly commissioned artwork for their Collector's Edition Blu-ray release of The Serpent and the Rainbow. Check it out and other details Here.

Scream Factory has announced they first foray into theatrical releasing with Bloodsucking Bastards. Check out all the information Here.

Tidbits:

-Scream Factory stated that they will be having a sale next week.

-Answers to some title requests from fans:

  • No chance of a The House That Dripped Blood Blu-ray from Scream Factory.
  • Scream Factory cannot get the rights to Body Parts.
  • Future Howling Sequels on Blu-ray are not planned at this time from Scream Factory but they will evaluate the sales of Howling II next year and see if more sequels are financially feasible.
  • Pledge Night is not on the horizon from Scream Factory.
  • Scream Factory has no plans at this time to release My Brother's Back on Blu-ray.
  • Arrow Video does not have the rights to Return of the Living Dead.
  • Arrow Video have no plans at this time to release Combat Shock on Blu-ray.
