Blu-ray Releases Of Interest For 6/30/15

Every week Scream Blu Fans! will be showcasing the Blu-ray releases of the week that interest us and that we think will interest you. Check out this weeks releases of interest below:

For the release date of 6/30/15 there was 4 Blu-rays of interest released. One from Scream Factory and three from Blue Underground. Here they are:

From Scream Factory this week comes the Double Feature Blu-ray release of Ghosthouse and Witchery. This Double Feature of supernatural terror looks like a lot of fun. Ghosthouse focuses on a group of people who visit a house that is filled with demonic spirits and a freaky little girl with a creepy clown doll. In Witchery we get Linda Blair and David Hasselhoff stuck on an island resort where a witch unleashes her wrath on those left on the island. Overall two fun looking movies that are worth checking out.

The first of three related titles released today by Blue Underground is 1990: The Bronx Warriors. This is an Italian post-apocalyptic film heavily influenced by Escape From New York and Mad Max. In 1990 the Bronx has been declared a No Man's Land where authorities have given up on restoring law and order. Motorcycle gangs, marauding warriors, and outlaws fill the land in this crazy fun post-apocalyptic film. Worth checking out if you are a fan of post-apocalyptic films and Italian exploitation films.

The second post-apocalyptic Blu-ray released by Blue Underground today is The New Barbarians. This film is set in 2019 after the world has been devastated by nuclear war. A few survivors try to reach a distant land but are attacked by a ruthless gang called  " The Templars," who are bent on exterminating everyone in order to purge the Earth. An interesting Italian post-apocalyptic film that looks like a lot of fun. Worth checking out if you are intrigued by the other releases put out today from Blue Underground or if you are just interested in the post-apocalyptic genre in general.

The last of three post-apocalyptic Blu-ray releases from Blue Underground is Escape From the Bronx. This film is a sequel to 1990: The Bronx Warriors and is set 10 years after that film. It is the year 2000 and a sinister mega-corporation has moved in and decided to clean up the No Man's Land in the Bronx. The corporation has sent in death squads to eliminate the remaining inhabitants of the area but are met with fierce resistance fighters who are willing to die and kill to protect their homeland. Another interesting and cool Italian post-apocalyptic film that will fit in the collection nicely next to the other two Blu-rays that Blue Underground released today.
