Scream Factory Announces Mad Max Blu-ray Extras

Scream Factory has announced the extras that will be on their upcoming Collector's Edition Blu-ray of Mad Max. The release will be available 5/5/2015 and will contain the following extras:

• New interviews with Mel Gibson, Joanna Samuel, and director of photography David Eggby
• Audio Commentary by art director Jon Dowding, director of photography David Eggby, special effects artists Chris Murray and Tim Ridge
• Mel Gibson: The Birth of a Superstar featurette
• Mad Max: The Film Phenomenon featurette
• Original theatrical trailers & TV spots
• Photo Galleries

Also the release will contain both the original Australian English audio and the U.S. English dubbed audio.

Today Scream Factory announced the extras for their Blu-ray release of From a Whisper to a Scream. The release is jam packed. Check out the full list of extras below:

Scream Factory Announces Extras For Escape From New York

Today Scream Factory announced the extras for their Collector's Edition Blu-ray of Escape From New York. The release will be two packed Blu-ray discs and will be released 4/21/15. Check out the list of extras below:

This last week has been a huge Blu-ray news week. A whole bunch of title announcements from Scream Factory and Arrow Video. As well a bunch of updates from Scream Factory. Also a new release from Scream Factory this week. So lets get on to all the news, there's a lot!

Arrow Video Announces June 2015 Titles

Today Arrow Video unexpectedly announced their June 2015 titles. A premature release of the list of titles moved Arrow Video to announce the titles a lot sooner than their planned March 6th announcement. So here is the list of titles:

Scream Factory Announce I, Madman Blu-ray Release

Today Scream Factory was celebrating Friday the 13th with a stream of announcements and updates. The celebration has reached its end with one last announcement. Scream Factory will be releasing I, Madman on Blu-ray sometime in 2015. There is no other details on the release at this time.

Big Scream Factory Update 2/13/15

Today has been a big day for Scream Factory as they celebrate Friday the 13th. They have given a bunch of updates and announced a new title. The announcements have continued and no they have put out a large update for a whole bunch of their releases. Check out all the updates below:

• Extras for Escape From New York will be announced before the end of the month. Escape From New York will be released on 4/21/15.
• The full list of extras for Mad Max will be released in March. Also, Scream Factory has taken MGM's transfer of the film and spent time removing thousands of instances of dirt and debris from the master, making it a cleaner picture and the best video presentation to date. 
• The Blu-ray release of Scarecrows will be release on 6/2/15
• The Tentacles / Reptilicus Blu-ray Double Feature will be released on 6/16/15
• Robot Jox will be released on 7/7/15
• Howling II will be released in 7/14/15

Scream Factory Announced Final List Of Extras For Class of 1984 Blu-ray

Scream Factory has announced the full list of extras for their Collector's Edition Blu-ray release of Class of 1984. It comes with a good amount of features and is definitely a strong release. Here is the full list:

• New High Definition transfer of the film from the interpolative
• New interviews with Director Mark Lester, Composer Lalo Schifrin, and Actors Lisa Langlois and Erin Noble
• New Career retrospective interview with Actor Perry King
• Audio commentary with Director Mark Lester
• Blood and Blackboards featurette - featuring interviews with Mark Lester, Perry King, and Merrie Lynn Ross
• Poster and still gallery
• Original theatrical trailer & TV spots

The film will be released on 4/14/15.

Scream Factory Unveils The Newly Commissioned Artwork For Sleepaway Camp II & III

Scream Factory continues the celebration by unveiling the newly commissioned artwork for two of their upcoming releases.

Scream Factory Announces The Blu-ray Double Feature Ghosthouse / Witchery

Scream Factory keeps the Friday the 13th celebration going by announcing a new title. They announced the Blu-ray Double Feature release of Ghosthouse (Directed by Umberto Lenzi) and Witchery (Featuring Linda Blair and David Hasselhoff). The double feature will be released on 6/30/15. There is no other details for this release at this time.

Scream Factory Update On Two Double Feature Releases

To celebrate Friday the 13th, Scream Factory will be giving various updates on some releases and maybe some other surprises as well. They started off by giving an update on their Food of the Gods / Frogs and Empire of the Ants / Jaws of Satan Blu-ray Double Features. They announced the following special features for the releases:

Food of the Gods / Frogs:

• New interview with Actress Belinda Balaski on Food of the Gods
• Brand new Audio Commentary with Director Bert I Gordon on Food of the Gods

Empire of the Ants / Jaws of Satan:

• Brand new Audio Commentary with Director Bert I Gordon on Empire of the Ants

They did not state if the other films on the Double Features will have any extras also, but I assume they won't.

          

Arrow Video Announces May 2015 Titles

Today Arrow Video revealed their slate of Blu-ray titles to be released in May. Overall they announced two new titles and gave the full specs for one other previously announced title.

Scream Factory Blu-ray News + Tidbits 2/4/15 - 2/11/15

Not a whole lot of Blu-ray news this week, but a lot of new releases. First, Scream Factory announced a couple of contemporary titles for release. As well, Scream Factory gave an update on a couple of their upcoming releases. That's about it for news. However there was a bunch of great Blu-ray releases that came out this week. -Scream Factory's Blu-ray release of Extraterrestrial will come with a slipcover.

-Answers to some of the title requests from fans:

• Scream Factory cannot get the rights to The Hitcher.
• Scream Factory cannot get the rights to Silver Bullet, Graveyard Shift, or Wishmaster.
• Scream Factory cannot get the rights to Spookies.
• No chance of Scream Factory releasing Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2.

Scream Factory Announces Extras For Ghoulies / Ghoulies II Double Feature

Scream Factory has announced the extras that will be on their Ghoulies / Ghoulies II Double Feature Blu-ray. The Blu-ray will be released on 4/21/15. Here is the list of extras:

This week was a pretty jam packed week for Blu-ray news. First Scream Factory announced a few new Blu-ray releases. Second they gave some updates on some previously announced releases. Finally, Synapse films announced a new release. Overall a pretty busy news week. Here is all the details:

News:

Scream Factory announced a slight delay on their upcoming Blu-ray release of From a Whisper to a Scream. All the details are Here.

Scream Factory officially announced the joint Blu-ray release (with IFC Midnight) of The Babadook. The set will be jam packed and available in three different editions. Check Here for all the details.

Scream Factory gave an update on their Blu-ray release of Mad Max including the newly commissioned art and some details on the extras. All of the update can be found Here.

Scream Factory announced the Blu-ray release of the contemporary film Gun Woman. Get all the details on the release Here.

-Scream Factory has no future deals with Miramax at this time.

-Answers to some title requests by fans:

• Scream Factory tried, but was unable to, secure the rights for Bucaroo Banzai.
• Scream Factory has no plans for Never Too Young To Die.
• Scream Factory has no plans for Fatal Games.
• Scream Factory does not have Future Kill.
• Interestingly, Scream Factory is not actively pursuing the rights for Big Trouble in Little China at this time.

Scream Factory Mad Max Blu-ray Update

Today Scream Factory provided fans an update on their Blu-ray release of Mad Max. The film was first announced for release in July of 2014 and will be officially released on 5/5/15.  Scream Factory revealed the newly commissioned art, shown above, that will be on the release. As usual the original theatrical poster image will be on the reverse. The stated that the full list of extras will be announced next month. However, Scream Factory was able to confirm one extra that will be on the release, an all-new exclusive interview with star Mel Gibson! This is shaping up to be another strong release by Scream Factory.
