Scream Factory has announced the 2016 Blu-ray release of Cherry Falls. Check below for all of the details:
The Blu-ray release of Cherry Falls is planned for a spring 2016 release. Extras are planned and will be announced at a later date. As well, new key artwork is being created for the release and it will be revealed at a later date.
The big news is that Scream Factory was unable to acquire the cut footage of the film. So this release will be the R-rated cut. In their announcement they gave an explanation for their inability to attain the cut footage. It can be summarized as Universal (who they licensed the film from) didn't have the footage in their vault. They then went to the director who stated that he was never given the opportunity to assemble a longer cut originally. Also he does not have the cut footage either.
