Scream Factory Delays Dog Soldiers Blu-ray Release

Today Scream Factory announced that they would have to delay their Collector's Edition Blu-ray release of Dog Soldiers again. While they regretted having to delay the release again, they stated that it could potentially be for a very good reason. The reason for the delay is that the director of the film, Neil Marshall, has found some new film elements that could potentially be better than the ones available now. If the elements prove to be better than the one already available, Scream Factory will use those new elements to create a new HD transfer of the film. This is potentially huge news because the current transfer for the first Blu-ray release of the film, which is the transfer Scream Factory was going to have to use originally, is considered by many to be very subpar. Scream Factory will update everyone once they get a hold of the elements and are able to determine if they are better that what is already available. The new official release date for Dog Soldiers is now 6/23/15.

Sound like great news to me. What do you think of this news?

Scream Factor Announces Howling II Blu-ray Release
