Scream Factory News + Tidbits 11/29/14 - 12/3/14

The last few days has brought about a new month and with it a new batch of news from Scream Factory. First up is their release of the Blu-ray Double Feature, Tales From The Crypt and Vault Of Horror. Also Scream Factory gave out a huge update to start off December on a good note. Here is all the latest...



News:

This week Scream Factory release the Blu-ray Double Feature of Tales From The Crypt and Vault Of Horror. It is available for order here: Tales From The Crypt / Vault Of Horror [Blu-ray]

To start the month Scream Factory put out a huge update. Here are some of the highlights:
-They announced two new releases, Dark Haul and Exterminators Of The Year 3000 / Cruel Jaws Double Feature. Cruel Jaws has since been removed from the Double Feature because of potential legal issues. Exterminators of the Year 3000 will now be a standalone Blu-ray release.
-They gave some release dates for titles like Dog Soldiers and Blacula / Scream Blacula Scream Double Feature.
-That they also stated that they have two more Collector's Editions that will be released in Summer 2015. They will announce these titles as soon as they can.

Tidbits:

-There will be no new scan or transfer for the Blu-ray release of Dog Soldiers because Scream Factor's licensor does not have any film elements for them to do so. This is noteworthy because many people believe that the last Blu-ray release of Dog Soldiers have a very subpar transfer. Here is to hoping this new release looks better.

-Answers to some of the title requests by fans:

• There is very little chance at this time that Scream Factory will release Hellraiser or Hellhound: Hellraiser II.
• No chance that Scream Factory can release Jaws 2 or Jaws 3 because Scream Factory cannot license from Universal. (Interestingly, at Comic Con 2014 Scream Factory said that their might have been a sliver of hope to license from Universal again, I would say that this shows that there is no hope.)
• Scream Factory has no plans to release End of Days.
• Scream Factory has no plans to release The Burrower.
• Scream Factory cannot get the rights to release Eyes of Laura Mars
