Scream Factory Announces Sleepaway Camp II & III Blu-rays

Today Scream Factory dropped some big news. They announced Collector's Edition Blu-rays for both Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers & Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland. They will both be released sometime in Summer 2015. Beyond that there isn't any more information given by Scream Factory but expect more information on the releases next year. These two titles have been heavily requested by fans ever since Scream Factory released the first Sleepaway Camp. These two titles are the two Collector's Editions that Scream Factory could not announce on Halloween because of deals not being finished and have been waiting to announce ever since. It is nice to see a couple often requested titles being released. It is also nice that I guessed correctly on the identity of the two titles they have been waiting to announce (see my guess here).  Overall a very good announcement from Scream Factory.

What do you think of the announced titles? Will you be picking up these releases?

Scream Factory Updates For December

Scream Factory gave a bunch of updates to start off December on a good note. Here is the full list of updates:

- They announced the Blu-ray Double Feature release of Exterminators of the Year 3000 and Cruel Jaws. Full details Here.

-They announced the Blu-ray and DVD release of Dark Haul. The film recently premiered on Syfy network and will be released on 3/10/2015

-The extras for their Blu-ray release of Phantom of the Opera will be announced sometime in December.

-The extras for their Blu-ray release of New Year's Evil will fittingly be announced on 12/31/2014.

-The Double Feature Blu-ray release of Blacula / Scream Blacula Scream will be released on 3/3/2015.

-The Collector's Edition release of Dog Soldiers will be released on 3/10/2015. The extras for this release will be announced in January 2015.

-The Blu-ray releases of Invaders from Mars, Ghoulies / Ghoulies II Double Feature, Carrie / The Rage: Carrie II Double Feature, and Collector's Edition of Class of 1984 are all planned for release in April 2015 but the dates are still subject to change.

-Last and certainly not least, Scream Factory states that they have more films to announce that are a mix of contemporary films and retro surprises. As well they stated that they have two more Collector's Editions planned for release in Summer 2015. However, they cannot announce them at this time but will as soon as they can.

So a lot of updates for December from Scream Factory. I am excited to see that they still have titles left to announce. In particular, I am excited for the two Collector's Editions. I wonder if the two titles are related since they are talking about them together. Perhaps the titles are the often requested Sleepaway Camp II and III?

Scream Factory Announces Exterminators Of The Year 3000 And Cruel Jaws Blu-ray Double Feature *Update*

*Update*
This release has been changed by Scream Factory. Because of potential legal issues, the film Cruel Jaws will no longer been in this Double Feature release. The film uses a lot of footage from other films which is likely to lead to a lot of legal trouble. The release will now be a standalone release of Exterminators Of The Year 3000. Here is the new artwork:

Today Scream Factory started off December on a good note by announcing a new Blu-ray release to be put out in 2015. They announced the Blu-ray double feature of Exterminators of the Year 3000 and Cruel Jaws set to be released 3/3/2015. The artwork above is the artwork included with the release. Both films are described as cheesy and entertaining Italian-made exploitation rip-off films. I wonder if this release will result in more non-North America made films put out by Scream Factory.

What do you think about this release? Will you be picking it up?
