Scream Factory News + Tidbits 10/8/14 - 10/15/14

This week Scream Factory has continued the pace of title announcements that began with last week. They have announced 4 new titles in the past seven days. Also some new pre-orders went up on Amazon for Scream Factory title released in January 2015. So here is the news:

News:

Scream Factory has announced the release of Vampire's Kiss and High Spirits in a double feature Blu-ray. Check Here for more info.

Scream Factory has announced the release of Frogs and The Food of the Gods in a double feature Blu-ray. For more info check Here.

Scream Factory has announced the release of Empire of Ants and Jaws of Satan in a double feature Blu-ray. More info is Here.

Scream Factory has announced the release of Tentacles and Reptilicus in a double feature Blu-ray. More info can be found Here.

The following titles have been put up for pre-order on Amazon: Candyman: Farewell To The Flesh [Blu-ray], The Phantom Of The Opera [Blu-ray], and Supernova [Blu-ray]


Tidbits:

-Scream Factory has said this week that they will not be announcing any more Collector's Editions in the month of October. So it is likely that we will see a lot more announcements of double features.

-Answers to some of the title requests by fans:

• Scream Factory will not be able to release Phantasm
• Scream Factory can't get to Blood Beach because of rights problems with the film.
• Scream Factory has no plans to release Teen Wolf
• Scream Factory cannot get the rights to Haunted Honeymoon
• No release of Teen Witch is coming from Scream Factory
• Scream Factory has no chance of releasing Tales from the Hood because it is with Warner Bros. (A company that doesn't license out their titles.)
• Scream Factory does not have access to Saturday the 14th
• There is a slim to none chance that Scream Factory will release John Carpenter's The Thing
• No chance at this time for Scream Factory to release Big Trouble in Little China
• The Return on Dracula and The Vampire are not with Scream Factory at this time
• Manhunter is not lined up for release by Scream Factory at this time
• Scream Factory cannot get the rights to The Manitou
• Scream Factory cannot get the rights to Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II
